MedFlight Finland, established in 1995, is a leading provider of intensive care patient transfers in Finland. MedFlight became as a subsidiary of Med Group in September 2007.

MedFlight undertakes ca. 1200 assignments yearly. These range from advice-giving to emergency medical evacuations by air ambulance of a seriously ill intensive care patient from a distant Third World country.

We have 15 years of experience in operating in Russia and the Baltic region. Our comprehensive partnership network guarantees smooth handling of patient matters.

In Finland, MedFlight serves university hospitals and central hospitals by providing urgent intensive care patient transfers between hospitals.

MedFlight performs around 1200 cases yearly. Cases range from advice-giving to emergency medical evacuations by air ambulance of a seriously ill intensive care patient.

License and Credibility Classification

MedFlight has a license to provide health care services given by State Provincial Office of Southern Finland. Line of Activities is first aid and pre-hospital anesthetic services to be provided during patient transportation. Dr Pauli Haapsaari, MD, specialist in anesthesiology and intensive care, is the Medical Manager in Charge.

In 2009, ranking agency Suomen Asiakastieto has selected MedFlight Finland as one of the economically strongest companies. These companies have all obtained the highest possible Rating Alfa classification AAA from Suomen Asiakastieto. The selected companies have a very low risk to get payment default entries or go bankrupt even at difficult times. They have stabilized their operations and published their newest financial statements data. These enterprises are considered strong partners by their interest groups.
